Passionate about natural resources stewardship, Terasa has been responsible for water resources programming in Florence and Darlington Counties since April of 2010 and was named State Coordinator of the South Carolina Master Gardener Program in January of 2018. During her career, environmentally friendly landscaping has been a major program focus. Terasa's outreach efforts via television have made her a recognizable and trusted source of both horticulture and water resources information across the state.
Extension and Outreach
Terasa's primary focus is coordination of the SC Master Gardener Program which trains, selects, and utilizes knowledgeable volunteers to facilitate the educational work of the local Consumer Horticulture Agent, by delivering researched-based information to citizens of the state. She also coordinates Carolina Yards, a program designed to assist and guide South Carolina homeowners in conserving water in the landscape and in making positive changes in the environmental quality of their yards, neighborhoods, and surrounding waterways.
