Profile
David A. Scott, PhD, LPC, is currently an associate professor at Clemson University. Dr. Scott is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of South Carolina. In the past, he has served as President for the South Carolina Counseling Association and program coordinator for the clinical mental health program. He is a member of the American Counseling Association and Chi Sigma Iota. His areas of interest include identity development, at-risk youth, and clinical counseling. David has worked in a variety of settings in the past, which include an inpatient hospital, outpatient counseling center and in private practice with his wife. Before coming to Clemson, he was one of the directors for a large agency that provided a continuum of care services for at-risk youth and their families. David enjoys spending time with his wife, Michelle, and two daughters. He also enjoys spending time on the local lakes.
