Assistant Professor of Counselor Education

Department of Education and Human Development 

The College of Education at Clemson University invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor of counselor education.  Clemson’s counselor education program strives to prepare counselors who possess the skills and dispositions to work effectively with diverse populations and to engage in data-driven practices.  The Counselor Education program at Clemson University offers CACREP-accredited master’s degree concentrations in School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling as well as educational specialist degrees in both areas. The program specialties serve a combination of full-time and part-time students. Courses are taught on campus and in Greenville, SC (30 miles north of campus), with most classes being taught in Greenville. This is a nine-month position with optional summer teaching available. The start date for the role is August 2024.  The Assistant Professor will be responsible teaching classes in a CACREP specialty area (current tracks include clinical mental health counseling and school counseling) and the counseling core, advising master’s students, and supervising counseling practicum and internship students.

Lecturer in Athletic Leadership

Department of Educational and Organizational Leadership Development
The Clemson University College of Education seeks highly qualified candidates to fill a full-time faculty position in the Athletic Leadership program at the rank of Lecturer. The Athletic Leadership program at Clemson University is a student-centered online program that focuses on leadership and ethical development for coaches and athletic administrators in educational settings. This program is committed to the development of the coaching profession with specific emphasis on the intercollegiate setting. The nine-month appointment includes an annually renewable contract and will begin fall 2024. As Athletic Leadership is an emerging field, candidates without a terminal degree who have significant experience in collegiate coaching and/or administrative fields will be considered. Tenure-Track Assistant/Associate Professor–Higher Education and Student Affairs Leadership

The College of Education at Clemson University seeks highly qualified candidates to fill a full-time tenure-track or tenured position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor in the Higher Education and Student Affairs programs. The Higher Education and Student Affairs programs at Clemson University are highly student-centered and well-respected regionally, nationally, and globally. These programs are committed to the development of practitioners and scholars to serve in a variety of capacities. This individual will be responsible for teaching courses in the Ph.D. in Educational Leadership (primarily) and the M.Ed. in Student Affairs programs at various locations, and through the use of face-to-face as well as asynchronous learning, hybrid course development, and other online teaching methods. The nine- month appointment will begin fall 2024. Clemson University is interested in candidates who can contribute to the excellence of the academic community through their research, teaching, and service. Salary will be based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience. midpoint salary amount is $75,000, and at the Associate Professor rank, the first third salary amount is $80,000 and midpoint salary amount is $90,000

Assistant/Associate Professor(s) of Educational Leadership

Department of Educational and Organizational Leadership Development
The Clemson University College of Education seeks two highly qualified candidates to fill full-time positions at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor in the Department of Educational and Organizational Leadership Development (EOLD). These 9-month appointments will begin in fall 2024 and involve research, service, and teaching in multiple modalities and advising graduate students across multiple P-12 educational leadership programs, including the building-level (MEd) and district-level (EdS) certification, EdD in Education Systems Improvement Science, and PhD in P-12 Educational Leadership. Clemson's educational leadership programs prepare cohorts of students to address localized problems of practice leading to substantive and sustainable educational improvement for diverse students. The successful candidates will have evidence of a scholarly research agenda; the potential for or a record of grant-funded research; experience with continuous improvement (e.g., research, policy, practice); a history of working collaboratively with colleagues and partner institutions; and a demonstrated commitment to improving educational opportunities and outcomes for underserved communities.

Lecturer in Academic Intensive Interventions

The Special Education area in the Department of Education and Human Development at Clemson University is recruiting for a Lecturer in Academic Intensive Interventions, non-tenure track, nine-month position, beginning Fall 2024. The Lecturer in Academic Intensive Interventions will be responsible for teaching on-campus undergraduate special education coursework related to academic content, early intervention, disability characteristics, service delivery, and collaboration with families and parents with potential for teaching graduate-level courses in the future. The successful candidate would be expected to fulfill a 4-4 course load and may serve as a liaison with field experiences and student teaching, including a capstone course. Some course sections may be offered online and in synchronous and asynchronous modalities. The successful candidate also will participate in service to the department, college, and field. This program is committed to the development of practitioners and scholars to serve in a variety of capacities in pursuit of inclusive excellence in higher education.
