Profile

Dr. Pough is a former middle grades mathematics teacher and former school administrator. In addition to her regular schedule, Dr. Pough serves as an advisor for the Clemson Senior Education Organization and the Clemson University ASCD. She serves as an instructor for Summer Scholars and Emerging Scholars programs. Additionally, she serves on the Clemson University Parking Review Board and the College of Education Diversity and Community Relations Committee. Her personal service to the university comes through her work as a Faculty Friend in Manning Hall.

Research Interests

Dr. Pough's research interests involve teacher education, teacher effectiveness, and instructional engagement.
Additionally through her research efforts, Dr. Pough studies how teacher effectiveness is related to teacher retention.
