Rural Education and Outreach

Rural education and outreach are strategic priorities in the College of Education. The College of Education provides a range of opportunities and resources to meet the strategic priorities:
Collaborating with University and Community Partners to Enhance Educational Opportunity in Rural Communities: The College of Education is committed to collaborating with community and university partners to enhance educational access and opportunity in rural communities. Centering the rich resources in rural communities, we aim to collaborate with PK-12 partners, higher education partners, non-profit partners, and industry partners to celebrate and support rural education.
Enhancing Partnerships with Rural Communities: The College of Education seeks to enhance partnerships with rural communities, organizations, and school districts. The College of Education has provided seed funding to enhance partnership opportunities in South Carolina and beyond in collaboration with rural communities.
Expanding Rural Knowledge: The College of Education offers a range of rural-focused programs and events each year to expand knowledge about rural education. We engage in topics that are shaping the future of rural education in South Carolina and beyond.
